About

Credited in 15 of the last 18 WordPress releases. Founder of WPFolks.

Hi, I'm Ankit Panchal, a WordPress engineer and indie founder based in Pune, India, with 13+ years in the WordPress ecosystem.

Code in WordPress core. Plugins on 20,000+ sites, including Hide Admin Bar, UltimaKit and PushRow for Google Sheets. A free community for WordPress people. A camera on every build.

I started with a browser and WordPress 3.x. Everything since has been built one plugin, one patch and one community at a time, with 29+ WordCamps along the way across India and Asia.

I share the whole journey on YouTube at @AnkitMakes: product decisions, code walkthroughs, real numbers and building in public.

One goal: help more people ship on WordPress.
