WPFolks is a free, community-first platform built by WordPress people, for WordPress people. No paywalls. No paid tiers. Ever.
WordPress powers over 43% of the web, but the community behind it is scattered. Slack channels, Discord servers, old forums, Twitter threads, local meetups. There's no single place where a developer in Lagos can find a freelancer in Krakow, or where a plugin author in Tokyo can showcase their work to the whole community.
WPFolks is an attempt at that single place. One home for your WordPress profile, your plugins, your talks, your hiring, your ideas — free, no paid tiers.
We launched in April 2026. We're small and new. The platform is built in public, shipped weekly, and shaped by what members actually ask for — not what a closed-door roadmap thinks they want.
The values that guide every decision we make
Every feature is available to every member. We will never introduce paid tiers, premium memberships, or hidden fees. Period.
WordPress is used everywhere. WPFolks welcomes developers, designers, and contributors from every country, background, and experience level.
We exist to serve the WordPress community, not to extract value from it. Our members shape the platform through feedback and participation.
We believe in transparency and open source. Our roadmap is public, our decisions are explained, and we contribute back to WordPress core.
We'd rather have 3,000 engaged professionals than 300,000 passive accounts. Every feature is designed for real, meaningful interaction.
We maintain strict community guidelines and active moderation to ensure everyone feels welcome and respected on the platform.
Growing every day thanks to the WordPress community
