About

Hi, I am Ankit Panchal, founder of WPFolks, a WordPress engineer and indie founder based in Pune, India.

13+ years in the WordPress ecosystem. Active WordPress Core Contributor across 14 releases, from 5.4 through 7.0. 2,000,000+ plugin downloads across 8 plugins on WordPress.org. 29+ WordCamps attended across India and Asia.

Before WPFolks I built PluginStack, a suite of performance-first WordPress plugins including UltimaKit, PushRow for Google Sheets, AI Price Negotiator, and Page Visit Counter.

I started with nothing but a browser and WordPress 3.x. Everything since has been built one plugin, one line of code, one community at a time.

I document the whole journey publicly on YouTube at @AnkitMakes. Product decisions, code walkthroughs, honest indie dev numbers, and building in public without filters.

Currently building WPFolks into the home the WordPress community deserves.
