Another day, another idea on how we can stay competitive and continue improving alongside our competitors.
WordPress previews are not client-friendly. To show a page before publishing, users often need login access, staging sites, or temporary publishing.
Generate a secure public preview link for any draft page, post, landing page, or WooCommerce page, similar to Shopify’s preview links.
Key Features
* Share draft pages without publishing
* Secure unique preview URL (token-based)
* Set expiry time (1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, custom)
* Revoke preview instantly
* Works with Gutenberg, Elementor, Bricks, Divi, etc.
* Mobile / tablet / desktop preview
* Automatic noindex so preview pages stay out of Google
* Disable caching for preview URLs
* Preview watermark (“Draft Preview”)
Why this is valuable
For freelancers
Send a homepage or landing page to a client in seconds.
For agencies
Collect approvals before launch without creating user accounts.
For clients
Open a simple link on any device and review the page immediately.
For teams
Share work-in-progress pages internally without publishing.
I know plugins like Public Post Preview exist, but they still don’t feel like Shopify’s client preview workflow. I’m thinking of building a modern preview-sharing plugin with expiry links, revoke access, mobile preview, comments, approvals, and Elementor/Bricks compatibility. Would agencies use this?
What do you think guys, need to build this type of pluign?
