Hello Darshit, if person will edit the ticket, it might end the purpose of roadmap review process. As person might change the description after review is complete. I think better approach would be adding additional information in the comment. and author of the roadmap can be given right to pin that comment. What would say on this?
We should consider allowing users to edit or delete a ticket before it is moved to the “In Progress” status.
There are situations where, after creating a ticket, a user may notice a typo, missing information, or even realize that the ticket is a duplicate. Allowing updates or deletion at this stage would help users provide better explanations and reduce duplicate submissions, ultimately improving the overall user experience.
One possible approach is:
1) If the ticket is still in the “Open” state and has not yet been picked up by an admin or assigned for work, the user can edit or delete it.
2) Once the ticket status changes to “In Progress,” the ticket becomes locked, and the edit/delete options are removed.
This would provide flexibility to users while also maintaining consistency once work has started on the ticket.
The edit feature is already suggested by @abdullah17 with this ticket: https://wpfolks.org/roadmap/allow-editing-community-posts-for-limited-time.
