The official WPFolks app is now available on iPhone, and Android is coming soon.
Everything on wpfolks.org is in it: the feed, your messages, events, the folks directory, the leaderboard and the Photo Directory. It also does a few things only a phone can do.
It is free, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no tracking.

Why an app
WordPress is built by people spread across time zones, companies and a dozen different platforms. WPFolks exists so those people can find each other: the developers behind the plugins you install, the designers behind the themes, and the organisers behind the WordCamps you attend. Today 1,331 folks from 50 countries are on WPFolks, and 414 of them are open to work.
A lot of community life happens away from a desk: in a WordCamp hallway, on the way to a meetup, in the five minutes between talks. The app is built for those moments.
What is inside
Your day at a glance. Home shows your Impact Score, your rank, your streak and your badges. It also shows today’s Folk Spotlight, whose birthday it is, and how many folks viewed your profile this week.

The feed. Share updates, questions, ideas and wins. React, reply and bookmark, and switch between All, Following and Bookmarks, or jump straight into #plugins, #ideas and #help. No algorithm decides what you see.

Find your folks. Browse the whole directory and filter by role, skills, country, badges, availability and WordPress.org contributions. Sort by Impact to meet the most active folks, or see who is available for hire. Every profile shows the plugins, themes and badges behind the name, plus the folks you have in common.

Nearby folks. Turn on location to see WordPress folks around you, whether in your city or at the same WordCamp, anywhere from 10 km to 250 km away. Location stays off until you switch it on, and your exact position is never shown to anyone.

Events and WordCamps. Browse more than 280 upcoming meetups and WordCamps, with RSVP, add to calendar and one-tap check-in when you arrive. See which folks you follow are going, keep a meet list of the people you want to find, and mark every WordCamp you have attended so it shows on your profile.

Recognition that means something. The monthly leaderboard, Impact Score, streaks and badges stay in sync with your profile on the website. That includes badges earned through WordPress.org contribution.

Daily games. Three new games arrive every day at midnight UTC:
- WP Trivia
- Higher or Lower, on plugin installs
- A new Photo puzzle that turns a picture from the WordPress Photo Directory into a two-minute challenge
Points count towards a monthly games board.

The Photo Directory. Browse and download more than 6,800 CC0 photos from the WordPress Photo Directory, with credit to every photographer.
