The WPFolks Community Fund
30% of every WPFolks sponsorship goes into the Community Fund. We use it to help WordPress developers attend WordCamps and meetups they couldn't otherwise afford. This page shows every dollar. What came in, who it helped, and what events were supported.
How the Fund Works
-
Company Sponsors WPFolks
A company chooses a sponsorship tier and pays annually.
-
30% Goes to the Fund
Automatically. Every tier. Every time. No exceptions.
-
Folks Apply for Support
Folks with a wp.org contribution history can apply for help attending an event.
-
Developers Attend WordCamps
Selected members attend events with help from WPFolks. They post about it on the community feed afterward.
We pick recipients based on their wp.org contribution score (visible on every WPFolks profile), real financial need, and whether the event is relevant to what they do. Every funded developer posts about their experience on the WPFolks feed. Full transparency, always.
